File ... MEDES-- IRAN + IRAQ and other Moslem
nations
At the end of the Great Tribulation, it is foretold that the
Medes (Arab-Moslems)
would come against Babylon. Jeremiah 50 and 51
"Medes" most likely includes
terrorist-operatives
Below are articles that pertain to the build up of arms
by Iran and Iraq, with the help of Russia and China .....

Terrorism will not end by missiles, bombs and urban warfare.
Terrorism will end when Moslems forsake their Islam ideology and convert to belief in Jesus
Christ as God and Savior.
Absolutely nothing else
on the face of this earth can change that fact.

Iran's new leader -- Aug. 3, 2005
As Iran's hard-line president-elect, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
prepares to assume office this week, there is a pervasive
perception that the country's conservatives will finally be
consolidating their power after eight years of struggle against
the reformers
In a sense, the Iranian hard-liners were
emulating their Chinese counterparts in seeking to mollify an
aggrieved public not through political
modernization but economic rewards. But such a tacit
bargain is unlikely to succeed in Iran, as the conservatives are
too implicated in the corruption of the system to restructure it.
Ahmadinejad's campaign against corruption and in favor of
economic equality may have made these oligarchs nervous, but they
have enough power and influence to prevent him from fulfilling
his pledges.

Iran says Iraq and Iran are now "brothers" -- July 17,
2005
"We consider Iraq as our brother,"
Iranian Vice-President Mohammad Reza Aref told reporters
Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari, the first
Iraqi leader to visit Tehran in decades, said both sides stood to
benefit from a diplomatic rapprochement.
Although it seems the visit of Jaafari's
ministerial delegation will bring neither of these projects
closer, Iraq's oil minister said he hoped his country could pump
a small volume of crude oil to Iran in return for much-needed
gasoline.

Iran to take out US with EMP bomb -- April 25, 2005
ElectroMagnetic Pulse weapons even
one of which could knock out America's critical
electrical and technological infrastructure,
effectively sending the continental U.S. back to the 19th century
with a recovery time of months or years.
Iran will have that capability at least theoretically
as soon as it has one nuclear bomb ready to arm such a
missile. North Korea, a strategic ally of Iran, already boasts
such capability.
Detonated at a height of 60 to 500 kilometers above the
continental U.S., one nuclear warhead could cripple the
country knocking out electrical power and circuit boards
and rendering the U.S. domestic communications impotent.
The purpose of an EMP attack, unlike a nuclear attack on
land, is not to kill people, but "to kill electrons,"
as Graham explained.
The commission report went so far as to suggest, in its opening
sentence, that an EMP attack
"might result in the defeat of our military
forces
some potential sources of EMP threats are difficult to
deter they can be terrorist groups that have no state
identity, have only one or a few weapons and are motivated to
attack the U.S. without regard for their own safety,"
[ William R. ] Graham describes the potential
"cascading effect" of an EMP attack. If electrical
power is knocked out and circuit boards fried, telecommunications
are disrupted, energy deliveries are impeded, the financial
system breaks down, food, water and gasoline become scarce.
As [ Sen. John ] Kyl put it: "Few if any people would die
right away. But the loss of power would have a cascading effect
on all aspects of U.S. society. Communication would be largely
impossible. Lack of refrigeration would leave food rotting in
warehouses, exacerbated by a lack of transportation as those
vehicles still working simply ran out of gas (which is pumped
with electricity).

Iran's Missiles capable of European targets -- Dec. 4, 2004

Iran is working on
long-range missiles capable of hitting European capitals, as well
as nuclear and chemical warheads, an exile group said on
Thursday.
Tehran was working on missiles with a range of 1,600 to
1,900 miles, capable of hitting cities such as Berlin
Ghadr 101 and Ghadr 110 missiles,
comparable to advanced Scud E missiles, at the Hemmat Missile
Industries Complex.
The exiles also said Tehran had in August tested a Shahab-4
missile with a range of 1,200 to 1,900 miles, depending
on the weight of the warhead. Shahab means meteor in
Farsi.
Safavi also said Iran's Shahid Karimi Industrial
Group was pursuing nuclear and chemical warheads,
but he gave few details.

Tehran has not dropped plans to run 50,000 centrifuges to

Iran and China -- Nov. 19, 2004
According to the Washington Post, China's energy
needs have climbed nearly 40 percent in the first months of 2004.
Meanwhile, Iran whose population has doubled since the
1979 revolution is increasing meeting those needs in
exchange for access to China's burgeoning low-cost manufacturing
industry.
Perhaps the most troubling aspect of the growing Iran-China
alliance is the Islamic republic's access to the improving
technology being developed, deployed and utilized by the People's
Liberation Army.
Nowhere are U.S. concerns greater than in the area of ballistic
missile technology. American officials have sanctioned
Chinese companies for improperly transferring such technology in
January 2002 and as recently as early this year, but that hasn't
stopped the transfers, experts and analysts believe.
In terms of its nuclear weapons ambitions, the U.N.'s
nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, has
determined that China, along with
Pakistan and Russia, have probably provided nuclear technology to
Tehran.

Iran, Pakistan and Libya-- Nov. 17, 2004
An Iranian opposition group said Wednesday that
Tehran bought blueprints of a nuclear bomb and weapons-grade
uranium from the same Pakistani scientist who
admitted selling atomic secrets to Libya and
other countries a decade ago.
According to the exiled National Council for
Resistance in Iran, both the bomb design and the nuclear material
were handed to Iran by Abdul Qadeer Khan, who headed Pakistan's
nuclear program between 1994 and 1996.
But he also said the agency has itself suspected that Iran may
have a blueprint for a nuclear weapon ever since such designs
were uncovered in Libya.
The Iranian exile group is the political arm of the Mujahedeen
Khalq, which is listed by the United States as a terrorist
organization. Two years ago the group uncovered an undeclared
nuclear site in Natanz, Iran.

US, France, England and Germany appease Iran-- Nov. 15, 2004
The US had planned to ask a Nov. 25 meeting of
the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to recommend to the
UN Security Council that it impose sanctions on Iran. That move
might have begun to put the UN and the US on a trail like the one
that led to the long confrontation and eventual war with Saddam
Hussein. But the US military is stretched too thin for any
war-talk with Iran. And the Security Council isn't likely to go
along with the US.
The IAEA, meanwhile, reported Monday that all
nuclear material that Iran had declared in the past year has been
accounted for, "...and therefore we can say that such
material is not diverted to prohibited [weapons]
activities." The report, however, was inconclusive about any
undeclared material Iran may be hiding.

which contained a threat, "If Israel fires a missile into
the Bushehr nuclear power plant, it has to say goodbye forever

Shamkhani also made very clear that his country would regard any
pre-emptive strike against the Bushehr reactor as sufficient
cause to unleash full-scale, unrestricted war against the United
States. "We will consider any strike against our nuclear
installations as an attack on Iran as a whole and we will

Cuba and Iran jam US Satellites --August 7, 2003
By successfully jamming a U.S. communications satellite
over the Atlantic Ocean, the regimes of Cuba and Iran
challenged U.S. dominance of space and the assumptions of free
access to satellite communication that makes undisputed U.S.
military power possible.
The Bush administration, meanwhile, appears paralyzed about

The target of these terrorist states: Telestar-12, a commercial

Iraq seeks Iran for security and commerce --
July 16, 2005
Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari is to

to boost security and economic relations between the
two Shi'ite-majority nations.
Six ministers, including Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari,
are to accompany Mr. al-Jaafari on his four-day visit to

America's hugely expensive reconstruction efforts of the
past two years have failed to deliver significant improvements in
those essential services, mainly because of the raging insurgency
in Iraq.
You would have a riot in Basra now if it were not for
all the oil products, like [gasoline] and cooking gas and

for Ahmed Chalabi's Iraqi National Congress, part of the ruling
political alliance.
The Iranians are the winners in the Iraqi game; they got
rid of Saddam Hussein, [and] most of their friends are in
power," he said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

publicly dedicated to upholding and propagating the teachings of
the puritanical and militantly intolerant
Wahhabi sect of Sunni Islam. It also happens
to sit on top of vast petroleum reserves that the modern
industrial world seems unable to learn to live without
Saudi billions poured into Pakistan and Afghanistan in
the 1980s, financing local mujahedeen fighters
and Arab adventurers, like Osama bin Laden, who
flocked to join them. Saudi Arabia also financed hundreds of
madrasas that taught combative strains of Islam and sent
graduates to Afghan training camps for instruction in armed
jihad.
After the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan, Riyadh started to
view these foreign adventures as a useful safety valve for
disillusioned Arab guerrilla veterans who might otherwise direct
their energies and anger at the Western-allied Saudi royal
regime. During these years, the Saudis also poured money into
building a network of Wahhabi mosques, schools and bookstores in
the impoverished Muslim suburbs of Western Europe
Turki's long tenure in the intelligence job abruptly ended less
than two weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks under unexplained circumstances.
Private lawsuits alleging links between Turki and the attacks
have since been dismissed by an American court.

UNITED
ARAB EMIRATES
Dubai: threat to America ;
Harm to Israel March 2,
2006
The fact is everyone working at ports has security
responsibility just as individuals are responsible for locking
their own cars and homes, not the police. The company
managing the ports will have special access to all shipments,
timetables, routes, container content, bills of lading, secured
holding areas and, most worrisome to intelligence analysts,
access to information about secret US shipments around the world
including where such items are being shipped to and from.
The information gathered by any port operator, placed in the
wrong hands, can easily be offered to foreign agents
without the US knowing it, thus foreign management can create
an intelligence security nightmare for the US.
A good outcome of this issue coming to light is that in the
future no foreign entity should be allowed to control this vital
part of US security. At least the Brits were close democratic
allies, but Dubai and the U.A.E. are dictatorships and
dictatorships have a way of spiraling out of control in
successive years--look at Iran and Iraq.
The U.A.E. is also currently a major drug
transshipment point for Southwest Asian drug producing countries
and, being a major financial center, this makes the
U.A.E. an ideal locale for the money laundering that
is often associated with the drug trade. The U.A.E. has undefined
and open borders with Saudi Arabia and Oman, thus allowing drugs
and other goods, including weapons, to be
moved between those countries without scrutiny. A Middle East
open-borders crisis occurred in 2002 when North Korean SCUD
missiles were shipped to Yemen and then vanished. Considering
that the U.A.E. has open borders and would control ports on both
ends of a single shipment, we need to be seriously concerned with
U.A.E. control of our ports.
The U.A.E. is also a member of the Arab League and is a signatory
member of the Arab boycott of Israel. The
Syrian-based Central Office for the Boycott of Israel, a.k.a. the
Central Boycott Office, enforces the pan-Arab boycott of Israel

Dubai, UAE Shell Oil Nigeria -- Feb. 18, 2006
``Insurgents of all kinds are attacking the oil
industry as a way of fighting the governments in charge,'' said
Youssef Ibrahim, managing director of Dubai, United Arab
Emirates-based Strategic Energy Investment Group. ``It's
contributing to a lot of anxiety about the safety of supply
The militants said they targeted Shell today because Nigerian
military helicopters had used an airstrip operated by the company
to attack villagers in the Niger River delta.
``There is great anger this time owing to the loss of lives in
communities attacked by the choppers,'' Jomo Gbomo, a self-
described spokesman for the militants, said in a response to
e- mailed questions. ``We have very little regard for the lives
of these hostages as we have lost a number of civilians in these
raids.

Fear escalates over foreign possession of ports -- Feb.19, 2006
The Bush administration earlier approved the
deal, which has drawn escalating criticism by lawmakers who
maintain the United Arab Emirates is not consistent in its
support of U.S. terrorism-fighting efforts
...
Meanwhile, the Bush administration is defending
its approval of the sale, and strongly resisting demands by
Congress to reconsider ...
But one of those mayors, Martin O'Malley of
Baltimore, criticized Bush's approval of the ports deal as an
"outrageous, reckless and irresponsible decision" and
urged the president to reconsider
"I think that they did not take into account
the vulnerability of America's ports," O'Malley said
He said only 5 percent of the shipments into the nation's ports
are inspected, calling that a stark contrast to Hong Kong, which
inspects 100 percent of shipments.
Dubai Ports World declined through a spokesman to respond to
O'Malley's remarks

UAE to acquire 6 American ports --Feb.
13, 2006
DP World, based in Dubai, has offered $6.8 billion for the
purchase of a British firm that operates the ports of Baltimore,
Miami, New
York, New Jersey,
New Orleans and Philadelphia,
Middle East Newsline reported.
The company said the U.S. Committee on Foreign Investment in the
United States "thoroughly reviewed the potential transaction
and concluded they had no objection." The committee includes
representatives from the departments of Treasury, Defense,
Justice, Commerce, State and Homeland Security.
America's busiest ports are vital to our economy and to the
international economy, and that is why they remain top
terrorist targets," Sen. Charles Schumer, a New
York Democrat, said. "Just as we would not outsource
military operations or law enforcement duties, we
should be very careful before we outsource such sensitive
homeland security duties."

UAE United Arab Emirates military cooperation with Pakistan -- Jan.
3, 2005
Industry sources said the UAE Army and Islamabad have been
negotiating to acquire a Pakistani BMS
[ Battle Management System ]
that would link main battle tanks, armored personnel
carriers and combat vehicles in Abu Dhabi's military.
The sources said the system would be capable of forming a network
comprised of a range of Western platforms in the UAE land forces
and would not require the purchase of Pakistani military
platforms.
IBM Integrated Battle Management = technology : computerized
battlefield identification systems ( friend or foe)
The sources said the Pakistani system was not as advanced as
Western networks and could not be regarded as network-centric
warfare. The system was said to employ Very High and Ultra High
Frequency radio communications, with each vehicle capable of
serving as a relay.

From Iran through Syria to Lebanon :
Hizbullah arms --- Aug. 2, 2005
U.S. officials said that within days of Syria's military
withdrawal from Lebanon in late April an Iranian shipment of
munitions, mortars and anti-tank rockets reached Lebanon. The
officials said the shipment was flown by air to Damascus
International Airport and taken by truck to Lebanon's Bekaa
Valley.
"Syria continues to be a foremost supporter and weapons
supplier of Hizbullah, a terrorist group active in Lebanon, and
throughout the world, that has been targeting and killing
Americans and many others since the early 1980s," Rep.
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, chairman of the House subcommittee on the
Middle East and Central Asia, said.
