The government talks about being science-based,
and that's great, but I think there is another pillar here: the

The agency has already said it will regulate transgenic animals -- those that have been

sensation in the mouth, a swelling of the tongue and throat,
hives, vomiting, cramps and diarrhea. Those with severe
food allergies can have a potentially deadly whole-body reaction
known as anaphylaxis, which causes blood pressure to plunge and

Brentson learned how the slightest exposure to an
allergen can be life-threatening
on Sept. 12 when he suddenly developed a severe
headache in music class. Although he didn't
know it yet, he had come into contact with peanuts. His mother,
Laura Duke of Nashville, suspects he smelled
them or touched a doorknob or a desk with
peanut butter residue. Brentson put his head down, and his throat
started closing up. The school called his mother who immediately
took him to her pediatrician's office, where Brentson received
two injections of epinephrine to open up his airways and the antihistamine
Benadryl.
In October, 13-year-old Andrew Wright of Nashville
traveled to Washington to lobby for a federal law known as the
Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Management Act.
It would direct the Department of Health and Human Services to
establish guidelines that schools can use to reduce the risk of anaphylactic

Imagine questioning everything you put into your mouth. Two
percent of adults and five percent of children have to do just
that because of food allergies, and up to 30,000 of them end up
in the emergency room every year. Now the government is taking
action, and it's starting with food labels.
It's called the Food
Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act, or FALCPA.
It's a mouthful, but advocates say it will reduce allergic
reactions, especially those with deadly outcomes. Starting
January 1st, food labels will be more specific. One group
welcoming the change is schools.

WASHINGTON - Some 45 million Americans with blood pressure
levels once considered normal or borderline actually have
"prehypertension," say new government guidelines that
urge them to exercise, avoid salt and make other changes to stave

It's a major change that

Scientists now say that damage to arteries from the pressure of

My wife
Angela had a rash and lump near her ankle last summer (2001). The
doctor had her take antihistamine, and the rash very very slowly
went away (months later). But the lump was still there next to
her ankle. We prayed, and yet the lump remained. We do not have
medical insurance. Last week I anointed her ankle area with oil
in obedience to James Chapter 5.
The next day the lump was down by a half. Last night (Tuesday
night) Ang was awake in the night and prayed in tongues, which
she does whenever awake in the night. Her left leg gave a sharp
jolt or spasm. She didn't know why.
In the morning she examined her ankle area and the lump was
completely gone ! We give all the praise and thanksgiving to our
Dr. Jesus who hears and answers prayer !!
May this testimony strengthen your belief in the healing power of
our God. It
is not by formulas or rituals.... it is by OBEDIENCE to God's
Holy Word.

it was the obedience.

ps --we do not believe in word-faith healing (rhema "name
it-claim it")--. That would put us in control of healing and
make us little God's. God is in control, and yes it is up to His
will. If word-faith were sound doctrine, then all word-faith
healers would be responsible for all the infirm in the hospitals,
since they didn't go and heal them all with their word of faith
(rhema).
Since sinners are also healed by God, where is their word-faith ?
Healing is strictly an Almighty-God action. We participate
through obedience to His Word ---- not by command of OUR word
(dusty little man). We do not manipulate the hands of God.
Sometimes God does not heal (see 2 Corinthians 12:9).
God is God. He is sovereign. He has a plan and a purpose that is
far above our understanding.
We cannot put God in a box and use formulas.

great benefit. They reveal Jesus as the Healer.

hands on the sick and they shall recover."

Healing is a GIFT, and as such cannot be taken lightly or for
granted. We all know of instances where people are miraculously
cured, and cases where people are not cured.
We cannot know the mind of God. His ways are not our ways, nor
His thoughts our thoughts. His thoughts are higher than our
thoughts.(Isaiah
55:8,9) One thing
is for sure. God does not treat us as our sins deserve,
(Ezra 9:13) so therefore we cannot say that our
sins prevent healing.(although that is one possibility)
It's not that cut and dried...it's not always that black and
white.
Our own OBEDIENCE to God's word plays a large part in the healing
process.
And always, God's higher will prevails [His Sovereignty]. His perspective is vastly different
from our perspective.

WHAT

Miraculous healing usually (but not always) takes place after we
have tried our best to maintain health (healthy diet and
exercise, vitamins, medications, doctor visits etc.).
When these resources fail, we turn to God as a servant in prayer,
humbly asking for His intervention. We do not demand a healing.
We ask. Whenever we ASK a person something, the answer can be
"yes", "no", or "later". Certainly
the Highest Being has those same prerogatives. God is not petty
or partial. He does not react favorably because you were good,
and unfavorably because you were bad. He does not react (tit for
tat.)
God responds to us according to His will, not according to our
will. Even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane said, "Not My
will, but Thine be done". God does listen to our prayers,
and they weigh in heavily as God decides each case. So yes, we do
pray and hope to receive healing. We trust God either way.

A while ago, a person died under rediculous circumstances. One
Sunday, this person went with some friends on a cruise. They
had put some canned drinks in the ship's ice-box. The following
day, Monday, the person had to be taken to the university
hospital, not being released until Wednesday, dead. The autopsy
revealed that they were dealing with fulminent leptospirosis,
provoked by a canned drink that had been consumed without a
glass on board. An examination of the cans confirmed that the
canned drinks had been contaminated by rat urine, as such by
leptospirosis. Probably the person in question had not washed the
top of the can before drinking from it and got infected from the
dried rat urine which can contain toxic and deathly substances
among which is leptospirochetes which are bacteria that provoke
leptospirosis.
Drinks and other canned foostuffs are stored in ships' holds which generally are infested with rodents and are transported afterwards to the point of sale without having been passed through any type of cleaning process. Every time that you buy a can, wash the top carefully with soap and water before placing it in the refrigerator. According to a study done by INMETRO (Spain), the tops of drink cans are more contaminated then public toilets! The study shows that the quantity of germs and bacterias that are on the tops of cans is so great that it is indispensable to wash them thoroughly with water and detergent.

REST....Our society today is rush, rush,
